My mom is a nature lover. She loves to stay at her garden everyday especially early in the morning. It helps her brighten her day to start. She also likes cute puppies and kittens. She likes decorating our house with nature designs. We once had our other house designed like as if we were living in a forest. The tiles were green-styled. The walls are purely white. The chairs and tables (furnitures) are originally cut from the parts of a narra tree and improvised by my architect brother that made it antique-look. Outside our house is a small landscape with stones, selected and imported plants and a continuous flowing water. Read the rest of this entry »

Pollutants like oil, grease, deadly bacteria and disease are all found in our ponds, rivers, lakes and oceans. Now, a new invention called Smart Sponge Plus may be the first step to stop pollutants from reading rivers, lakes and oceans. How? Simple, storm drains filled with a spongy material - a synthetic polymer similar to those used in diapers - can catch household pollutants such as paint and motor oil as they are washed off by the rain. Twenty-eight states are already using the material. So it’s really amazing how a spongy material can help in cleaning up our water.

From traffic to urban sprawl, environmentalist Mark Gold says it all leaves our water sources dirty and polluted. According to him, everything you can think of is a source, whether it’s your car, your next door neighbor or yourelf. One solution for all this pollution is the Smart Sponge Plus. Rodolfo Manzone, a chemist at AbTech Industries in Scottsdale, Arizona, says, ” It is a very simple system based on a combination of synthetic polymers.” Read the rest of this entry »

Youngsters: Way near the “happily-ever-after” endings.

On and on it goes- our wildest dreams and most bewildered fantasies.

Back in the old days when dolls and toy cars were our favorites, and to the countless moments when crying was simply a naiive expression of dissatisfaction, there was still that sense of fulfilling security and comfort. There were no uncertainties yet.

Later as they become who we refer to as the youth, they find how growing up can be very hard for them. They experience a lot of changes, and sometimes feel ambiguous about being in a difficult stage of life. They are torn between two words of adolescence and young adulthood. Toy lovers suddenly find new ventures to pitch and toss; they gain new perspectives for their preferences. They eventually dwell on the things that are temporary and tangible. No more fairy tales. My first period in class just ended and I felt so bored. I don’t really like my schedule this semester. I have long vacant time in between my classes. That’s why I’m here in the internet cafe near to our school. I just want to make use of the time. Now that I’m in front of the computer, I am still bored. So I took pictures of myself using the webcam. Read the rest of this entry »

I have never celebrated Christmas with my whole family for three years since I moved to Cebu City. The first Christmas I spent without them was so boring. I and my older brother, Clint, just slept all night at our apartment after we ate our dinner at the church’s celebration. Then on the following year, I was with my sister-in-law’s family. It was my very first time to celebrate Christmas with a different family. And the funny experience during that time was I didn’t expect they will be having an exchange gifts. I was so embarrassed that I have nothing to give to them back but I received many gifts from them. Then on the third or just last year, my parents and my younger sister went to Cebu to celebrate Christmas with us. But then we’re still not complete.

Mother’s Day is an occasion when individuals express their love and respect that they have for their mother. A celebration of motherhood. Here in Philippines, it is usually celebrated every second Sunday of May. Mothers’ Day is the best time to say in words how much you love and care for your mum. Remember that our mom is the greatest gift that one can ever receive in a lifetime. Mother’s Day gives you the opportunity to show all your heartfelt love for the person you perhaps care more than any one else in this world. After high school career, we, students begin to question the importance of college education. When we attend college, we are provided better options and more opportunities. I love arts. Although I’m not good in drawing but I express myself through a medium in an artistic practice. Arts is not just all about drawings or paintings. Arts can be in acting, dancing, photography, writing, film making, music and even for defense (martial arts). You can be an artist as long as you use imagination, talent, or skill to create works. I consider myself as an artist because I believe all of us are artists. Being an artist is a lifestyle and a profession. Though everyone can be an artist, but it is a choice one cannot make “in passing” so to speak. It’s a decision that requires a high level of commitment. Read the rest of this entry »

Weeks from now, I’ll be probably in our hometown again. Finally! I’m going home in Davao City where durians are plentiful. ^__^ This isn’t final yet. I don’t exactly know if it’s only gonna be a vacation or my final leave here in Cebu.

All I want is to go somewhere else in a couple of days. I wanna go out from this house for once. Hehehe… I always spend my days inside the house and sitting in front of the computer since I stopped schooling last semester. I’ve been very busy in updating my blogs. Char! hehe.. This might be one of the reasons I lose weight. Read the rest of this entry »

Since I was a kid, I was so insecure by my flat nose. I really wanted my nose to look like Julia Roberts’. Well, I think that would really cost an arm and leg just to follow what kind of nose I wanted to have. I want my nose be like the picture below…

See her nose? It really looks perfect! Right? Read the rest of this entry »

There is so much about me, just like anyone else; but what i want to let others know about me is that i’m a freely permeable person (scientific kaayo..hehe).That is, in my life, anyone can come and go.If they come, that means they have something to do with my life story. If they go, that would mean their role in my life has already ended.I optimistically accept challenges because it is only through these seemingly evil things that I may know my capabilities.Settling for mediocrity would only hinder me from knowing myself better.I like the feeling whenever people come to me to ask for help.It gives me a sense of worth and value, knowing that I was a part of the solution to their problem.I realized that however I want to be strong, my weaknesses would always seem to leak out.Whenever I feel down, I need positive reinforcement to bring me back to my senses.I realize that life would be easy if I know the value of waiting. If I know how to wait, God knows what to give in the right time, in His time.I realize that, it is not what I want that will always be followed.Sometimes, I need to pause and be silent for a while amidst the toxic schedule to listen to what my heart says and ultimately, to know what God’s plan for me really is.I realized that it is with utmost difficulty to make a decision that would matter for a lifetime. It helps a lot to talk to God and listen to what He has to say.It is painful to disappoint my loved ones when my decision is not what they expect of me, but I had to make a decision of my own and I know that they will understand.Lastly, love is not to be searched for.I believe that if two people are meant to be, fate will bring them together.Love is not just admiration but also total acceptance. His imperfections make him real and all the more lovable.Love is when you become one, yet remain two.It roots from respect and faith, with Christ as the center of the relationship.Never expect perfect love because only God can give perfect love.

I miss being single. But I miss more being into a relationship. I don’t know why I feel this way, I shouldn’t be. Being single remove all the worries about your partner. But being with your partner, remove all your worries in life. Why is that?
